The Second Young AIPPI Members Summit

As we make our way into the middle of 2023, AIPPI is pleased to be hosting the second Young AIPPI Members Summit – a virtual event to bring all the Young AIPPI Members together! The Summit is the must-attend online event for all up-and-coming IP experts, and we are very much looking forward to welcoming you in June!

Why the Summit?

We have built the Summit on the core of it being an event for Young Members, and by Young Members, to share, learn and grow from and with each other. As participation is limited to young practitioners, it presents itself as a friendly, non-scary space, and allows for everyone to be involved – be it through volunteering as a speaker, or by participating in the IP Café sessions to discuss and share opinions.

Why Virtual?

We understand that not all of our Young Members can travel to attend a physical Summit. Having an annual Summit virtually allows for participation from across the globe, from the comfort of your own office/home. Above all – it is absolutely free to attend the Summit, and you can invite a friend along too!

What’s in the Program?

We will feature a longer program this year (9 am – 4 pm CEST, on 21 June), with the hope of reaching a broader audience by covering as many time zones as we can.

As the panel sessions are driven by submissions from Young Members, we are delighted that so many have raised their hand, and submitted a variety of topics for consideration! A final program will be made available shortly, however the main categories of interest that will be featured at the panel sessions of the Summit will, as anticipated, be around the most talked about topics in the IP-sphere now – the Unified Patent Court (UPC), artificial intelligence, and the metaverse.

Apart from the speaker sessions, we aim to also have IP Café sessions, which will allow for participants to discuss a topic of interest around a virtual roundtable, and hopefully with an actual cup of coffee in hand! 😊

Why Attend the Summit?

If you had to miss last year’s Summit, we encourage you to attend this year! Apart from the fantastic learning opportunity from our various speaker sessions, we hope to increase the opportunities for participant discussion and to connect with one another once again. We aim to build and foster a close knit community, where friendships can form, and where no question is ever too silly.

Don’t forget – you can bring a friend along who is not yet an AIPPI member, and encourage them to become a part of the Young AIPPI community!
