The Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) has officially joined the Hague System for the International Registration of Industrial Designs (Hague System), one of the essential IP treaties administered by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

The Government of Saudi Arabia deposited its instrument of accession to the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement, making the Kingdom the 99th member of the Hague System. The Geneva Act entered into force on 7 April 2025.

The Hague System governs the international registration of industrial designs. It establishes an international system that protects industrial designs in multiple countries with minimal formalities.
