EGIPA Revises Official Fees for Patents, Plant Varieties, and Copyrights

The Egyptian Intellectual Property Authority (EGIPA) has issued Administrative Decisions Nos. 138/2025, 140/2025, and 141/2025, dated 14 October 2025, introducing updated fee schedules for patents, plant varieties, and copyrights.

The revisions include adjustments to existing official fees and the addition of new chargeable services across various administrative procedures, such as application amendments, examination and certification requests, and the registration of assignments and licenses.

These changes form part of EGIPA’s ongoing efforts to modernize its administrative system and align national fee structures with prevailing international IP standards. The revised schedules entered into force upon issuance.
